Mabau-Ilemabila is an artist native to the Congo, home to one of the largest
jungles in the world. His magnificent work is inspired by and made from
local butterflies. These butterflies are lovingly raised and allowed to live
their natural life span on a butterfly farm. Mabau then carefully creates each piece purely of wings. Intricacy, design, and medium make each image original and breathtaking.
The AIDS epidemic is an issue close to Mabau's heart.
Forty percent of the proceeds from the sale of his work
go to the Washington AIDS International Foundation (WAIF).
