Joy`The Journey
Some preconceived notion comes through and then color emerges after several underpaintings. From color and mood, the painting adventure begins and evolves into line, and texture while the process of creative expression pleasures the heart! There is joy for me in exploring in color and textures. My paintings are done in several layers and by the third or fourth layer the composition begins. The happy feelings evoked through the use of color lets me know when it is right. The painting says "Hello"! Good design and composition result in abstract impressionist paintings. Each layer has a different design and texture. I would best describe my artistic expression as "being in the moment" and therefore a spontaneous feeling for the subject matter. The artist within myself believes in the joy of the journey. |
